Young defender who joined Morecambe in the Summer of 2006 having played for Mossley in the previous season. Meadowcroft began his career at Stockport County.

Danny player a number of games at the start of the season and even scored against Weymouth at Christie Park but he lost his place in the side and rejoined his former club Mossley on a one month loan in November 2006. Meadowcroft failed to force his way into the team upon his return and was released at the end of May 2007.
