I know that when I was first looking to buy a Villa in Spain I met over a dozen different estate agents on various trips and they all said the same “There is no pressure to buy. I just wanna show you around some properties” and guess what? As soon as I showed an interest in a place they all tried to get me to put a deposit down, there and then. One lady went on for nearly half an hour; she eventually tried to scare me in to placing a deposit.

As a result of this I decided to create Overseas Property Service. To place the emphasis not on the sale but on the service.

I soon realised that if you are buying a place on the Costa del Sol, for example, that all the estate agents can access the same listings and they all get access to the same developments. So the important thing is to choose one who will work with your interests at heart, not their commission.
