Former Players Association

In order to recognise the valued contribution of our former players across generations, and to preserve and enhance the MFC Family, we have developed the Former Players Association.

Les Taylor, life vice president and former commercial manager, has been appointed Chair of the Association, and will work with a steering group including David Freear, Gerry Farrell, Graham Byram, Derek Quinn, Neil Marsdin & Lawrence Bland.

Some of the key aims and objectives of the Association include:

• The recognition of former players and their achievements.
• Recognise & mark special occasions in the club's history.
• Link the rich history of the club through to the present time.
• Enhance the "family club" ethos.
• Ensure former Shrimps players are in attendance at Club events.
• Additional features included in the matchday programme.

The first event will be held at our home fixture versus Portsmouth FC on Saturday 12 November 2022, whereby a host of former players will be attending the fixture and sharing great memories of their time at the Club.
