Cup clash will bring in important cash
SHRIMPS' boss Jim Bentley is urging fans to back his side against Manchester United's youngsters on Wednesday evening.
Morecambe face United's young guns in the Lancashire Senior Cup quarter final tie at the Globe Arena with Bentley hoping for a big crowd.
He said: "On the face of it it is not the biggest competition that the club enters but it is certainly one of the most attractive fixtures of the season against arguably the biggest club in the world.
"There is an added bonus too as a big gate could also largely fund the reserves for the full season which is a massive boost for the club.
"Whatever side United have they are bound to include some stars of the future and it should be another great occasion.''
The game kicks off at 7pm with admission for adults just £5 and juniors and concessions £3.
There is still time to book a hospitality package priced at just £20 which includes a match ticket and a two course meal.
