Injury blow for Burrow

Striker suffers ligament damage

SHRIMPS' striker Jordan Burrow could be out of action for three months after suffering ligament damage in the victory over Barnet last Saturday.
Burrow was injured by a block tackle late in the game and a scan has revealed that the damage is more than first first thought which could leave him out of action for between 10 and 12 weeks.
Boss Jim Bentley said: "It's a huge blow for Jordan and for us. We didn't realise how bad it was at first but then we got the results of the scan and it was worse than expected.
"It is another blow for us as he is the second striker now ruled out for a time with the same injury and it leaves us a bit short of options but we will continue to work hard and assess all our options.''
