8 April 2013

Five star show from second team

JORDAN Burrow scored four goals as the Reserves recorded a comfortable victory over Grimsby Town this afternoon.

Burrow took that match ball after a game the Shrimps dominated for long spells after home midfielder Jamie Devitt was sent off just before half time for violent conduct after kicking out at a Morecambe player.

Morecambe had taken the lead early on through Burrow, before Southwell got on the end of  a brilliant cross from Hearn to head home.

The Shrimps made the most of their man advantage when Burrow was allowed time to restore the visitors lead.

He then claimed his hat trick to make it 3-1 to Morecambe from the penalty spot, before another fine Town passing move finished with a fine finish from Bryant to make it 3-2.

Burrow made it 4-2 after he headed come from a corner, before Chris Holroyd added a fifth near the end.
