"We have nothing to lose'' says boss

27 August 2013

We'll go out and enjoy it says Bentley

MORECAMBE boss Jim Bentley says his side have nothing to lose when they meet Newcastle in a Globe Arena sell out on Wednesday night. Bentley admits he is looking forward to the game and his players should be relishing the chance to show what they can do against Premiership opposition.,
He said: "
"To see a League 2 club to get to the final of this competition was an amazing achievement and it shows just what can be achieved. History shows that there is some sort of shock in almost every round of competitions like this and we have to be hopeful that we can be one of those teams providing the shocks.
It’s a game where no-one is going to give us a chance but that means we have nothing to lose. Every team at this level can take heart from what Bradford achieved last season. "We have got to go out there and give it our best and try and win the game. Whatever team Newcastle bring will be strong and we will have to be at our best and hope they have an off day.
He added: "No-one in the country will give us a chance but everyone loves the underdog and loves a fairytale story and there will be a lot of people backing us tonight because of that.''
