Former striker for sportsman's dinner
Morecambe Football Club in association with Althams Catering Butchers will be hosting a sportsman’s evening on Friday 19th April.
We are delighted to announce that the evening’s main speaker will be ex Arsenal, Celtic and Wales international Striker John Hartson.
John had a very successful career as a professional footballer playing for top teams in both England and Scotland as well as representing his country 51 times. At the age of 34 John was diagnosed with advanced testicular cancer that had spread to his lungs and brain. The disease was caught in the nick of time and with lifesaving surgery and extensive chemo-therapy John is around to tell his remarkable story.
The evening’s comedy will be supplied by the award winning Yorkshire man Martin Gold. The ticket price includes a 3 course meal and entry to the evening’s raffle there will also be a small auction as well as a few party games. Arrival at the Globe will be from 7.30pm with a start time of 8pm. Dress code is lounge suits and ladies are encouraged to come and enjoy an evening out at the Globe Arena.
Tickets for the evening will cost £35 each or £320 for a table of 10. The Football Club will be donating 10% of all ticket monies to the Fans Club of Morecambe.
