Exciting new programme

EXCITING NEW PROGRAMME FOR SCHOOL YEARS 11 AND 12

Morecambe FC Community Sports are now the local provider of the government’s National Citizen Service (NCS) programme.

The scheme offers Year 11 and 12 students the experience of a lifetime, including two residential trips away and the opportunity to take part in a range of different outdoor activities.  The students will also be delivering a project of their choice to the local community.

All participants receive a certificate signed by the Prime Minister David Cameron on completion.  The programme looks great on a CV or a UCAS statement. The government have funded 50,000 places for young people in Years 11 and 12 across the country, so you could be one of the lucky ones that gets this excellent opportunity to gain new skills, make new friends, and most importantly, enjoy the scheme.

One of the NCS Ambassadors is N-Dubz star and X-factor judge Tulisa, who attended the launch of the 2013 scheme and said:''It's great to be part of the 2013 launch of NCS.  Saying yes to NCS is a great way for 16 and 17-year-olds to create their own future and build their confidence. I don't think anyone should ever underestimate what young people can achieve - and NCS is a brilliant way to get a life-changing journey started.''

NCS is open to both boys and girls, who have to be either in year 11 or 12, or of that age bracket.
