Bentley delighted with Williams deal

Midfielder finally joins Shrimps

Morecambe manager Jim Bentley says he is delighted that the long running deal for Ryan Williams has finally been concluded.

The former Chester and Rhyl midfielder has finally completed his move to the Globe Arena, after spending pre-season with the club.

His move from Welsh club Rhyl could not be completed in the summer due to problems with international clearance, but the re-opening of the transfer window should now see the move completed.

Bentley said: “I think the only activity we might be doing is we’re hoping to get Ryan Williams tied up, which is an extra body in the squad.

“He trained with us for three months, didn’t get a bean off the club and just wants to come back and just wants that platform to go on and try and express himself.”

He added: “He might come in and impress and become one of our regulars in time. He's a very tidy player and a good lad.”
