Striker signs up
THE Shrimps have this afternoon finalised the signing of striker Chris Holroyd on a short term contract.
Holroyd, 26, was released by Preston North End in January and has joined the Shrimps until the end of the season.
The former Chester, Cambridge, Brighton and Rotherham man has spent a chunk of this season on loan at Macclesfield where he scored some important goals, including two in the FA Cup victory over Barrow.
Shrimps' boss Jim Bentley said: "Chris has a lot of experience and will certainly be a good addition to the squad.
"He looks sharp and gives us an extra attacking option.''
