Early start for Motherwell clash
SHRIMPS' and Motherwell fans are reminded that this afternoon's pre season friendly kicks off at 2pm and not the usual 3pm.It is the third home friendly for the Shrimps so far with boss Jim Bentley hoping for more positive signs after victory over Burnley and defeat against Middlesbrough so far.
He said: "As we always say it it first and foremost about fitness and introducing new players into the squad and the system we play and I have been happy with those two elements so far.
"We will have to start to kick on now as the big kick off is only a fortnight away and Motherwell will be good opponents for us. They had a superb season in Scotland last year and will be another tough test which is exactly what we want.'
Andy Parrish is hoping to get his first run out of pre season so far after missing the first few games.
The Motherwell squad is: Nielsen, Stewart, Kerr, McManus, Hutchinson, Francis-Angol, Ferguson, Carswell, Lawson, Vigurs, McCafferty, McCall, Sutton, Anier, Shirkie.
