Boss looks at pre season so far

More good signs says Bentley

MORECAMBE boss Jim Bentley says he is happy with the way the pre season campaign is going so far despite suffering a second successive defeat on Saturday.
A last minute goal gave Motherwell victory in a tight game at the Globe Arena but the boss said that there were some good signs against one of Scotland's top sides last year.
Bentley said: "We played some good football again and really matched them for much of the game. The first half especially was end to end and open and we created a few chances.
"The second half was tighter and there were few chances which made it all the more disappointing when they scored in injury time.
"Once again we switched off at a bad time and that remains something we need to work on.''
Bentley said his side are now looking forward to meeting FA Cup winners Wigan at the Globe on Wednesday night.
The Latics are set to bring a strong squad to the Globe and will provide another stiff test for Bentley's side.
He said: "We have faced some really strong opponents in pre season and that has been good for us.
"It's a privilege to see the FA Cup holders play us so soon after their success last year and we are all looking forward to it.''
The game on Wednesday kicks off at 7.45pm.
