Morecambe FC in partnership with Centrica energy to offer FREE Season tickets to Year 11 students
Morecambe FC is delighted to announce their community partnership with Centrica Energy to offer up to 1800 local Year 11 students the opportunity to watch Morecambe FC with a FREE 2013/14 Season Ticket!
The scheme has been kindly sponsored by Centrica Energy who are delighted to be able to offer a long term commitment to Morecambe FC and the area’s high schools. Natasha Collins, Corporate Responsibility Lead from Centrica Energy commented “We think this is a great opportunity to get more young people involved in sport and will also help socially disadvantaged children to attend these games that they might otherwise not be able to do, MFC has a great link in with the local community and we are happy to be supporting them in this partnership.”
A number of local high schools have already signed up to the partnership; with a letter & voucher explaining the partnership due to be handed to every boy & girl**, from those schools, who will be starting year 11 this September, before the summer break.
The ticket will allow entry to all home league games played at the Globe Arena during the 2013/14 season in either the Home or North Terrace.
Morecambe FC’s Chairman Peter McGuigan commented that “This partnership is a significant step in making league football available to the next generation of ‘Shrimps’ fans. I would personally like to thank Centrica Energy for their continued support of Morecambe Football Club and the wider community. We sincerely hope that as every single Year 11 student that is eligible signs up and comes to support their local Football League team through the 13-14 season and beyond.”
