Shrimps sign Marcus Marshall

19 June 2013

Wide man signs up

THE Shrimps have this evening signed Marcus Marshall on a two year deal.
The 23-year-old has joined the club on a two year deal after playing for Bury last season.
A former Blackburn Rovers Reserve team player Marcus says he is looking forward to playing for Jim Bentley - and said Kevin Ellison played a big part in the decision to sign.
He said: "The gaffer really sold the club to me when I met him and I can't wait to get going.
"I played with Kevin Ellison at Rotherham and he said this was a great club to be at and everything I have seen so far points to that.
"I had a disappointing season with Bury and I am just looking to start playing regularly again and enjoy my football and I am really looking forward to pre season training and meeting the lads next week.''
After being released by Blackburn Marcus signed for Rotherham. He has also had loan spells with Macclesfield and Grimsby.
