Top prize for Morecambe fan
Morecambe FC is pleased to announce that Mrs Lamb of Morecambe is expected to be present for the game vs. Gillingham on Saturday to be the latest supporter to receive their £1,000 “Goalden Gate Superdraw” jackpot prize at half time.
Further to an investigation by club staff of Kevin Paul Begley the club terminated his lottery agency in January 2013. The findings were passed to Lancashire Police and the Gambling Commission. A hearing occurred at Lancaster Magistrates Court on 6th March 2013 where Kevin Paul Begley of Maple Avenue, Heysham pleaded guilty to charges of Fraud by false representation – Fraud Act 2006.
Begley received a Curfew Order for 2 months and to pay compensation to Morecambe FC of £1,372.
