Burrow header beats Bantams
A LATE goal from Jordan Burrow gave Morecambe Reserves an excellent win over Bradford’s youngsters at the Globe Arena.
Burrow headed home an inch perfect Aaron McGowan cross with nine minutes to go to give Stewart Drummond’s side the points.
Morecambe started brightly with Joe Mwasile forcing an excellent save from Stuart Morrison with a 20 yard drive that was heading for the top left hand corner.
Jordan Burrow then headed wide a deep left wing cross seven minutes later and had a goal disallowed for a push on the keeper as Stewart Drummond’s side threatened.
Joe McGee then went close but on 28 minutes the visitors took the lead with one of their first attacks of the game as Jae Yun Lee ran on goal and beat Andreas Arestidou from close range.
The Shrimps hit back with Mwasile once again denied by the excellent Morrisoin before the Shrimps levelled through a trademark Ryan Williams free kick as he floated a 25 yarder into the top right hand corner.
