Get down to the Globe on Wednesday
THE Shrimps’ Under 18s are in action next week in the second round of the FA Youth Cup against Bradford City.
Phil Hackney’s side take on the Bantams at the Globe Arena on Wednesday, November 20 after beating Hartlepool United 3-1 in an exciting game two weeks ago.
Two goals from Tom Woods and a header from Tyler Bowman gave the young Shrimps a memorable victory to set up the tie against their League 1 opponents.
Coach Hackney is hoping Shrimps’ fans give the youngsters their full support.
He said: “This is a big night for the club and for the lads and it would be fantastic for the them to get a good support.
“Some of the FA Youth Cup ties get really big crowds and it would be great to see a decent number of fans here cheering them on on the night. They don’t often get the chance to play in front of large crowds and I am sure it would make a massive difference for them if they did.’’
The game kicks off at 7pm.
