The Shrimps wins League 2 award
THE Shrimps’ matchday programme has been chosen as the Best in League 2 by the respected Midlands Programme Club.
The Shrimps beat off some stiff competition from across the whole of League 2 to take the award, much to the delight of editor Derek Quinn.
He said: “This is a fantastic honour for the club, especially when one considers the quality of programmes in League this season and the size of some of the clubs we are up against. The programme is a real team effort from Lee Wood the designer to the regular contributors who provide a diverse and informative read every home game.
“We spent a lot of time over the summer looking at designs and took into account all feedback we had from fans last season and acted on every suggestion we had and it has really made a difference.’’
Craig Radford, from the Midlands Programme Club, said: “The quality of every clubs match day programme for the 2013/14 season was excellent, however, yours stood out from the others and received some excellent feedback from the panel of judges for its layout, articles, use of colour, first impression of the cover, and overall value for money.’’
The programme received further praise recently in the national Programme Monthly magazine when the issue against Dagenham was awarded the Programme of the Month award.
