Keeper talks after derby defeat
SHRIMPS' goalkeeper Barry Roche said the 2-1 defeat against Accrington at the Globe Arena was "hard to take.''
Speaking after the 2-1 defeat he said: “It’s difficult to accept, more so as it is against Accrington who seem to get the better of us every year no matter what happens.
“It’s been a bad week for us with two defeats in two games after going on such a good run and in both games we have been hit by some really contentious decisions.
"Their penalty was soft to say the least and we found it hard to get back into the game.
“We started much better in the second half and we equalised and were on top for a long period. We missed a couple of good chances and should have seen the game out but we didn’t and not for the first time this season.
"The dressing room was very quiet after the game but we are all determined to bounce back as soon as possible.''
