Mateo ready for sponsored walk this weekend
A YOUNG Shrimps' fan has called on the community to help him raise money for good causes.
Mateo Sanderson, who has cerebral palsy, will embark on a charity walk along the promenade this Sunday, September 29.
Mateo’s Fun Walk will start at the Midland Hotel, turning around at Happy Mount Park.
Mateo has been raising money for Children In Need for seven years.
Proceeds from the walk will also go to Alex House respite centre for children in Lancaster.
Last year Mateo was chosen to carry the Olympic Torch through Garstang.
Registration for the walk is at the Midland Hotel from 10am and the walk starts at 11am.
“If you help me raise money, it will make a difference to Alex House.
This will then give them the chance to go on fantastic days out it will also enable them to organise many things for all the children,” said Mateo.
