Medical staff will assess the injury to Lawrence Wilson suffered at Cambridge on Saturday
SHRIMPS' boss Jim Bentley says his medical staff will assess the injury to Lawrence Wilson that he suffered at Cambridge on Saturday.
Wilson will go for treatment this week with Bentley fearful that the left back may have suffered ligament damage after a late tackle from Cambridge's Tom Elliott.
Bentley said: "Initial thoughts are that it doesn't look good and he may have suffered ligament damage which would rule him out for a couple of months.
"It is a real blow because he has been brilliant for us this season and has been enjoying his football.
"It may mean that we might have to go and look to bring someone in on loan because with Ryan Edwards still out and Andy Parrish missing yesterday we are struggling a bit for numbers at that end of the park
"We will get the full verdict on the injury over the next couple of days and take it from there.''
