Mullin looks to make his mark

NEW signing Paul Mullin says he wants to make his mark after signing for the Shrimps.

The 19-year-old, who bagged a superb brace in the 2-2 draw against Kilmarnock on Saturday, said he was delighted with his goals that took his pre season tally to five.

He said: “It was a great day for me.

“I love scoring goals and I’ve got a chance with this club now to push on and hopefully do well.

“There’s plenty of competition so I’ll just have to keep scoring goals and hopefully that will be enough.

“It’s disappointing when you’re on the bench so it’s always a good feeling to get on and score.”

Mullin has arrived at the Globe Arena via two years at Huddersfield where he was signed by former Shrimps number two, and now Terriers academy manager, Mark Lillis.

“He was the one who signed me first off for Huddersfield and then I spent two years there and it was all because of him really,” said Mullin.

“He was a nice fella and loves the forwards. I thought I was going to stay but it wasn’t to be. Now I’m here to prove everyone wrong.”

Now at Morecambe, the powerful striker has one aim.

“I must have done well enough for them to like me and have signed me short term so hopefully I can do well and get another contract,” said Mullin.
