Midfielder set to return
JAMIE Devitt is set to stay at the Globe Arena until the end of the season.
The Shrimps have agreed an extended loan deal with Devitt's parent club Chesterfield although the Spireites do have a 24 hour recall on the 23-year-old.
Boss Jim Bentley said: “We’ve agreed to sign Jamie until the end of the season on loan.
“The ban after his sending off at Exeter did complicate things but I’ve had a good chat with Chesterfield manager Paul Cook and the deal does involve a 24-hour recall.
“They need that. If they get one or two injuries they might call him back and they might even do it if they just want to have another look at him.
“But at this present moment, he’s our player until the end of the season.''
Jim added: “Jamie’s a good player who has done well for us. We just need to get his ban out of the way and he can come back into the squad and hopefully carry on where he left off.”
