Weekly sessions for over 50s
Morecambe Community Sports’ popular ‘Extra Time’ group meet on Friday mornings from 10.30am – 12 noon. If you are over 50 we would love you to come down and join in the fun at Globe Arena!

The group offers an informal and friendly atmosphere, with plenty of opportunity to socialise, take part in fun activities, make new friends and develop new skills.

We provide a range of activities such as indoor bowls, X-Box and Wii, darts, dominoes and Scrabble, to name just a few. There are also informative talks and advice to help promote good health and well-being.
As well as the regular sessions at Globe Arena, the group also go on excursions – a recent ten-pin bowling trip was extremely popular and quite competitive. Christmas at Barton Grange was very enjoyable, as was our visit to the Lake District.

Sessions cost just £2 and include refreshments. You don’t need to book in advance – just come to the main reception at Globe Arena at 10.30am on a Friday and the fun starts there!
