Club showcases its progress
Anyone visiting the Globe Arena between Friday evening and Tuesday afternoon will probably see a group of Chinese visitors being shown around the facility.
They are visiting Morecambe Football Club to review all aspects of our coaching & youth development system with a view to replicating our ‘model’ within a brand new football venture in Shanghai.
Their visit is the culmination of 6 months discussions between the two parties. As anyone who is associated with MFC knows we are extremely proud of what has been achieved in respect of Youth Development (16-18 years age group) over the years in collaboration with Lancaster & Morecambe College then latterly with the 5-16 year olds at the Globe Arena.
We are honoured to have been chosen to showcase how we have developed our systems and are excited by the opportunities that may present themselves.
Over the four days of the trip the party will also visit Lancaster & Morecambe College, 3-1-5 Health Club and the University who are all partners in our football development programme.
We are delighted to welcome our visitors to the North West of England and look forward to the next few days of footballing discussions.
