Midfielder suffers ligament damage

SHRIMPS midfielder Joe McGee is set to be out of action for some time after damaging ligaments while playing for the Reserves at Shrewsbury last week.
Boss Jim Bentley revealed the news at the club's end of season presentation awards on Saturday.
McGee attended the final game of the season against Bury on crutches.
Bentley said: "Joe was unfortunate to suffer a cruciate ligament injury at Shrewsbury in midweek and could be out for anything between six and nine months which is a real blow for him.''
McGee was praised by Reserve team boss Stewart Drummond who called him a "model of consistency'' in his summing up of the season for the second team.
