Goalkeeper Scott Davies returns to the Shrimps
THE Shrimps have signed former goalkeeper Scott Davies on loan.
The Fleetwood keeper has joined the Shrimps on a one month emergency loan with both Morecambe stoppers Barry Roche and Andreas Arestidou injured.
Boss Jim Bentley said: “Barry has been suffering from a hip injury and had a scan this week. He was advised to rest it for a few weeks and we hope that will see him get back to full fitness.
“Andreas has been missing for a couple of weeks with a stomach injury so we need some cover and Scott fits the bill perfectly.
“He knows the club well and has good experience at this level too with Fleetwood.’’
Davies, 27, is available to make his Shrimps debut against Exeter on Sunday.
He will wear the number 30 shirt.
