Boss and Kev nominated for League 2 awards
THE Shrimps are well represented in this month’s SkyBet Manager and Player of the Month awards.
After their bright start to the season both have been shortlisted in their respective categories with the winners set to be announced on Friday.
In the Manager’s Award category Jim Bentley is up against Shrewsbury’s Micky Mellon, Gary Rowett of Burton Albion and Mark Yates of Cheltenham.
Kevin Elllison has been nominated in the Player of the Month category alongside Trevor Carson of Cheltenham, Wycombe’s Peter Murphy and Wimbledon’s Matt Tubbs.
The judging panel is chaired by former Football League manager Dave Bassett with Sky Sports’ Football League expert Don Goodman; Football League Chief Operating Officer Andy Williamson; League Managers’ Association Director Olaf Dixon and Sky Bet Football Trading Manager Paul Lowery.
