Bentley wants to give fans something to shout about

SHRIMPS’ boss Jim Bentley says victory over Accrington Stanley on Good Friday would be the perfect way to end his side’s poor home form.

Morecambe have lost their last four home games and amazingly haven’t beaten their near rivals in 15 attempts since joining the Football League.

It’s a record Bentley desperately wants to see end on Friday as he looks give the Globe Arena fans something to cheer about after some disappointing home displays.

Bentley said: “Our away form has been superb.

“It’s up to me and the group to make sure we give our home fans something to shout about.

“That’s where we need to excite. We’re creating chances and scoring goals away and we need to replicate that on home soil.

“Nothing’s different. Whether we meet at Morecambe High and get the coach to the Globe to do something to try and break the cycle I don’t know!

“We haven’t got a good record against them and it’s time we get one back on them and hopefully we can do that Friday by taking our good away form into our home form.’’
