Shrimps Cycle To York

13 April 2015

Shrimps staff & supporters begin their journey across the pennines in fundraiser for Junior Reds & training ground improvements.

Morecambe FC staff and supporters are taking place in their annual fundraising event raising money for the Junior Reds and training ground improvements.

Last year’s fundraising event involved a 35 mile walk to Highbury Stadium for the Shrimps 2-2 draw with their Lancashire rivals Fleetwood Town.

Today Receptionist Gillian Lumb, Groundsman Terry Turner, Sam Harrisson from Hospitality and Barman Steve Coburn are cycling 109 miles from The Globe Arena to York City’s ground Bootham Crescent with Shrimps fans Paul Carter, Ash Knowles and David Burke for York vs Morecambe tomorrow evening.

Collection buckets have been circulating The Globe Arena and will continue to do so at the home matches against Burton Albion and Southend United.
