No replacement game for the cancelled fixture v Blackpool on Tuesday 28th July.
Morecambe Football Club have today announced that despite exhaustive efforts across all Leagues they have been unable to secure a replacement game for the cancelled fixture v Blackpool on Tuesday 28th July.
Jim Bentley commented ‘We have tried everything to get a game played in front of our fans. Unfortunately with so little time pretty much everyone we’ve spoken to is either fixed up already or looking to play inter-squad matches behind closed doors. We have a couple of options middle of next week to get the minutes into the players and we’ll do what’s necessary. We are obviously looking forward to welcoming Liverpool to the Globe on Sat 1st August and hope our fans and Liverpool fans from the Town will come and support our last home pre-season friendly. All the lads are chatting about who might play on the day, Liverpool have a big squad and not all of them will be making the trip to Finland. We’ll hopefully find out middle of next week and let the fans know via the OWS and social media’.
Anyone with Blackpool tickets may swap to the Liverpool match or get a full refund from the Club Shop during normal opening hours.
