Redshaw Exit

10 July 2015

Jack Redshaw joins Blackpool

JACK Redshaw has joined Blackpool after the Shrimps agreed a fee with the League 1 club.

The striker passed a medical with the Tangerines on Thursday and has signed a two year deal with a one year option.

The fee is undisclosed with a sell on clause included in the former Manchester City front man's contract.

Boss Jim Bentley said he was sorry to see Redshaw leave and said he was confident that he would make his mark at a higher level.

He said: "We gave Jack a chance when we signed him from Altrincham and he has more than repaid our faith in him.

"He has developed into a top goal scorer and has come on in leaps and bounds as a player and I know he will do well at a higher level."

He added: "We obviously would not want to lose a player like Jack but we would never stand in the way of any player if we thought it was a good step for them in their career.

"He is still only young and is getting stronger all the time and I am sure he will make his mark in League 1."
