Sampson Leaves On Loan

26 March 2015

Jack Sampson joins Macclesfield Town on loan for the remainder of the season

Jack Sampson has joined Macclesfield Town on loan for the remainder of the season.

The 21 year old forward has made 58 appearances and scored 5 goals for The Shrimps since joining in the summer of 2013 following his departure from Bolton Wanderers.

Sampson scored memorable goals at crucial times for Morecambe in the 2013/14 season including the equaliser in the 4-3 win over Chesterfield and a late equaliser against league leaders at the time, Scunthorpe United.

Jim Bentley said: “Jack’s first team opportunities of late have been limited. We’ve received numerous offers over the last few months for loan moves that for one reason or another haven’t quite worked out.

“Macclesfield contacted us around lunchtime today and Jack has decided that this would be a great opportunity to get some first team football.

"We were also hoping to have been able to announce an addition to the squad but we weren't quite able to agree a deal."
