Shrimps release striker Padraig Amond
MORECAMBE have released striker Padraig Amond after two years with the club.
The striker has been told he will not be offered a new deal for next season with boss Jim Bentley saying it was a difficult decision to release the former Accrington Stanley front man.
Bentley said: "Podge has been great for us and is popular with fans and players alike.
"But it is that time of the year when you have to make really tough decisions and this is certainly one of them.
"He has been a great member of the squad for two years now and I really do wish him well for the future.''
