Big Prize At Stake

16 November 2015

Jim Bentley hoping fans will back his side's quest to book their place in the FA Cup second round.

SHRIMPS' boss Jim Bentley is hoping fans will back his side's quest to book their place in the FA Cup second round when they meet Dagenham at the Globe Arena on Tuesday night.

Morecambe will be hoping to make home advantage count as the side's meet again after their first game ended 0-0 at Victoria Road.

Bentley said: "There is a big prize at stake with a home tie against Whitehawk for the side who wins the game and that has to be our aim.

"We did really well in the JPT at Rochdale last week and we must look to match that sort of performance against Dagenham. There is a lot to play for and we will be going all out to get into the next round.

"Dagenham may be struggling in the league but we saw in the first leg that they have some decent players and will be tough opponents for us but if we play like we did last week we won't  be far away.''
