Morecambe dominated the first half but the home side looked dangerous on the counter as Morecambe pressed high up the field.
The hosts had a glorious opportunity after 35 minutes when Levi-Lewis burst through in behind the Morecambe back four, only for Max Povey to pull of a fantastic save to keep the Shrimps' level.
After numerous chances throughout the first half Homson-Smith made it 1-0 on 39 minutes when he cut inside from the right and curled into the far post with a left footed placed shot.
