Improvement Needed

Beeley says improvements are needed after Luton disappointment.

STAND-IN skipper Shaun Beeley says his team mates are determined to pick up their home form after two successive defeat at the Globe Arena.

Writing in his programme notes for the game against Bristol Rovers on Saturday the full back said:  “All the lads knew it was a bad night on Tuesday.

“The gaffer was fuming. It wasn’t acceptable.

“All over the park we were second best.

“We didn’t do the nitty, gritty part of the game as well as we should have and the gaffer was right to be angry.

“He gave us a rollicking at half-time which could have spurred us on but as a team we were well below where we should have been.

“We all knew that we let ourselves down, the gaffer down and we let the fans down but you can’t dwell on things too long.

“You’ve got to pick yourself up and go again.

“I’ll try and help get the lads back up to go again on Saturday.”

“You can’t go and do a solid performance at Oxford which it was (in the 0-0 draw last Saturday) and then come home and not put in a proper performance.

“We’ve been back on the training ground and hopefully we’ll rectify the problems we’ve had and get a better result on Saturday.”
