St George's Day

20 April 2016

St George's Day celebrations at the Globe this Saturday.

Morecambe Football Club is marking English celebrations on the 23rd April 2016, when they welcome Stevenage for their penultimate home fixture of the 2015/16 football season.

The day will begin in the Globe Bar from 11am with a traditional English breakfast. Graham Aimson, our award winning Chef promises, “Only the best Sausage, Bacon, Scrambled Egg, Mushrooms, Beans, Tomatoes, Hash Browns and Toast,” all for an award winning price of only £3.95.

Whilst fans enjoy this traditional start to the day, supporters will also be taken back in time with a showing of England v Germany`s 1966 World Cup final. Come along and see Geoff Hurst score that goal as he goes on to complete his hat-trick in the 4-2 win over Germany.

We will also be showing the live Sky game and offering several drinks promotions including Bombardier bottled bitter, draught Lager & Strongbow Cider.

During the day flags will be handed out, and fans will be given the chance to have their faces painted Red and White before Morecambe take on Stevenage in the fight for victory at 3pm.

“Morecambe Football Club would like to invite football fans of all nationalities to come to the Globe Arena and join in the festivities on Sat 23rd April 2016. Let`s create a wining atmosphere to assist the Shrimps in their second to last home match of the season!"
