Rhys Turner and Aaron Wildig may both be involved over the Christmas period with both players making good progress with their injuries.
Turner picked up an injury in the game against Cheltenham - a game Wildig missed after being injured in training the week before.
Jim Bentley said: "Rhys and Aaron are making really good progress and have both trained over the past couple of days.
"We will keep an eye on them and check their fitness. We are hoping they will be ready for Mansfield but we won't rush them back.''
Liam Wakefield remains doubtful after the rib injury he picked up against Cheltenham.
Bentley said: "Liam has been in a lot of pain and found sleeping difficult over the past couple of weeks and we will have t make sure he is ready.''
Kevin Ellison and James Jennings are both available again for the Mansfield game but Alex Kenyon and Alex Whitmore are both missing through suspension.
Looking at the game Bentley said: "Steve Evans has come in at Mansfield and done well. He is a very competitive manager and his teams are always tough to beat. But we are up for the challenge and are looking forward to the game.''
