My client Abdulrahman has been seriously misled, as have the Board of Morecambe Football Club (the “Club”) and the fans of the Club, by the assurances and promises of Diego Lemos about funding to eliminate debt and making funds available to strengthen the Team.
It had been Abdulrahman’s desire to help Morecambe FC to become more successful but in view of Diego Lemos’ conduct, that was not achievable and therefore Abdulrahman resigned as a director and co-chairman on 20 November 2016.
However Abdulrahman is interested in helping to repair the damage caused to the Club by Mr Lemos and will be working with Peter McGuigan and the board on a consortium basis to find a way to restructure and refinance the Club.
