Players and staff to attend FCoM Race Night on Friday.
Morecambe football Club has today revealed that the ‘Special Guests’ attending the FCoM Race Night tomorrow (Friday 26th March) will be the 1st team squad and staff.
The players and staff are staying in the town overnight in preparation for the game v Carlisle on Saturday.
Once the players were made aware of the planned overnight stay they were very keen to include the ‘Race Night’ in their itinerary to support FCoM as much as possible.
Jim Bentley commented; ‘we have had problems with traffic almost every week we have played at the Globe this season. Players have been late reporting which can disrupt their preparation ahead of the game. We looked to do something a little different ahead of the Carlisle game and with the FCoM Race Night on it means we can all go and support the event. We hope as many people as can make it come down on Friday night, we’ll all be around from 7:00”
The fund raiser includes 8 races with the first race starting at 7:30pm. Doors open at 7:00pm with free admission.
