Aaron McGowan has today signed a contract extension keeping him at the Globe Arena until July 2018.
The versatile full-back joined the Shrimps in 2012 as an academy scholar at the age of 16.
McGowan became Morecambe’s youngest ever League debutant when coming on as a second half substitute against Torquay United on 20th April 2013.
Boss Jim Bentley commented: “Aaron’s done great and is progressing really well.
“He’s played a lot of first team football this season and we’re hoping he can go from strength to strength in the future.”
