Tony Thompson leaves the Shrimps after his contract expires.
GOALKEEPER Tony Thompson has left the Shrimps after his initial contract ended today.
The 21-year-old former Rotherham youngster, who arrived at the club in the summer, made one start for The Shrimps in the 2-0 Johnstone’s Paint Trophy defeat at Fleetwood on December 8.
Thompson had made his Football League debut seven days earlier after coming off the bench to replace the injured Barry Roche in the 1-0 win over Dagenham & Redbridge.
Boss Jim Bentley said: "I would like to thank Tony for his efforts since joining us. He has been a good lad to have around and we wish him well for the future.''
