David Robinson

2 July 2016

The club is saddened to hear about the death of director David Robinson.

David, who has had two stints as a director with the club, sadly passed away on Friday.

He first joined the board of directors in 1996 and rejoined in 2004.

As well as being a director with the club and a successful local businessman David played some games for the Shrimps in his earlier years and had great links with the club as his family was involved in the building of the main stand at  Christie Park in the 1960s.

Shrimps' Chairman, Peter McGuigan, said: "David was a true gentleman who served the club with distinction.

"He has been an integral member of the board for a number of years and been a great servant to the club.

"He will be sorely missed and our thoughts are with his family.''
