SHRIMPS' boss Jim Bentley said he would take the positives from his side's pre-season defeat against an "excellent'' Preston North End.
After seeing his side lose 4-1 to Simon Grayson's impressive outfit he said: He said: “We started well in the first 15 or 20 minutes and some of things we’d worked on worked well for us.
“Credit where credit’s due, certainly with the Pringle goal, that was a different league though.
“Some of the football they played was excellent too. We’ve come up against a good Championship side and good Championship players.
“There’s loads of positives but a couple of things that we need to work on as well.
“That’s part and parcel of pre-season. It’s not about results, we want to win and we have won a couple in pre-season which is nice but we’ve lost a couple and conceded a few goals.
“We’ve come up against good opposition who have put us to the sword when they could.
“It was a good workout for us.”
