Shrimps League schedule for the 2016-17 season.
THE Shrimps will kick off the new Sky Bet League 2 season with an away trip to newly promoted Grimsby on Saturday, August 6.
Jim Bentley’s side will then meet Lancashire rivals Blackpool at the Globe Arena one week later in their first ever League meeting with the Seasiders.
The next Lancashire derby takes place on Saturday, August 27, when the Shrimps travel to Accrington Stanley. They will make the short journey to Bloomfield Road on Saturday, March 4.
The Boxing Day fixture this season is an away trip to Mansfield with Crewe visiting the Globe on Monday, January 2nd.
The season ends with an away fixture with a trip to Luton Town on Saturday, May 6.
