Liam Wakefield signs a one-year deal with the Shrimps.
The Shrimps have added to their squad today with defender Liam Wakefield becoming Jim Bentley’s third signing of the summer.
Right back Wakefield, a former Doncaster Rovers junior, has joined after being released by Accrington Stanley at the end of last season.
The 22-year-old started nine games for Stanley after leaving the Keepmoat Stadium.
Boss Jim Bentley said: "Liam is a promising young defender who did well for Accrington in the early stages of last season before picking up an injury and we look forward to welcoming him into the squad.
"He is young and keen to do well. I have been impressed with his attitude and I am looking forward to working with him."
