Jim Bentley looking at trialists when players return.
SHRIMPS' boss Jim Bentley will be looking at a number of trialists when the players report back for pre season training on Tuesday.
Bentley has been in contact with a number of players and will get a chance to have a look at them over the next few days ahead of the Shrimps' pre season campaign which begins in a fortnight.
The club has 12 players signed on at the moment but the boss is confident of making at least one signing this week with more to follow.
He said: “Everyone knows we’ve still got to do a lot of business in all areas.
“We’ve done a little bit so far and they’ll be one or two more this week and things will come together slowly but surely.
“It has been a different close season for us so far I must admit and although we have been really busy and looking at a lot of options there are targets that we've missed out on.
"But over the next couple of weeks we’ll get a squad together. We’ll have trialists in over pre-season and no matter what we’ll have a squad ready and raring to go that will be competitive.''
