The Globe Arena to host England U18s.
INTERNATIONAL football is coming to Morecambe.
The Football Associaiton has announced that the Globe Arena is to stage an England Under 18s fixture against Israel on Monday. September 5.
It will be the second time the Globe has hosted a young England side after staging a game against Scotland a few years ago that saw the likes of Manchester United's Luke Shaw involved.
England’s development teams are all in action during September, with four different squads facing a variety of opposition during the international week.
England’s U18s begin their campaign with a mini-tournament in the north west, which features opposition from Israel and Italy.
Led by head coach Neil Dewsnip, they face Italy on Thursday 1 September (7pm) at Fleetwood Town’s Highbury Stadium before moving further up the Lancashire coast to play Israel at the Globe Arena on Monday 5 September (7pm).
Admission prices for the game will be £3 for adults and £1.50 for U18s, OAPS and students.
Group bookings for 15 people or more (no age restrictions and bookable in advance only) are available for just 50p.
Charter standard clubs in the area can claim up to 25 complimentary tickets on proof of membership with any additional uptake at the group rate.
